Well the First week of
whale watching season 2004 is behind us; and what a week it has
been...
Quick Cat 2 has
run the morning cruise every day and afternoon cruise since
Wednesday.
Humpback Whales have been
encountered on every cruise with at least 2 whales seen and as many
as 8 earlier in the week, along with the Humpback Whales there has
been heaps of Dolphins playing around the
boat.
This afternoon's cruise
experienced perfect calm conditions with several whales breaching at
a distance and 3 up close to Quick Cat
2.
Brian Perry was flying
Quick Cat 2's exclusive Spotter Plane today and reports seeing at
least 12 whales in the area of Hervey Bay he flew over with lots
more moving up the East coast of Fraser
Island.
Brian & Jill have put
together a Special "Quick Cat 2" Whale Info & Activities Guide
that is given to all children that come on board the Whale Watch
Cruise, it's full of whale photos, background info, games and
activities. I am picking up a bundle on the Full Day Whale Watch
Tour tomorrow together with more brochures and posters if you would
like a copy to have in your office for your information ( also a
great sales tool) please let either myself or Georgie know and
we will arrange to have one dropped off. the same if you require
more brochures or a couple more of the awesome looking Whale Watch

Another great week Whale
Watching is ahead of us. I am putting together a Humpback Whale
Photo Gallery on our website which should be live by Tomorrow night
( I'll put the address in next weeks report) and I will be
adding more shots of the whales and dolphins as the season
progresses.
