Breach

A humpback whale breach must be one of the most awesome sights in nature, these magnificent mammals can weigh in excess of 40,000kg's and when the breach they can launch their entire body out of the water which is followed by one almighty splash. The reasons for the breach are not fully understood but it is believed to be used in escaping predators, intimidation or competition between males when seeking the attention of a female or maybe they're just having fun...I know that the guests that are lucky enough to witness a breach certainly love it.

I am told that some people couldn't see the main photo in my email last week, sorry about that unfortunately sometimes what is see is not necessarily what you get when dealing with computers. To minimise this problem I have put the past editions my Hervey Bay Whale Watch Report online at http://www.dolphinecotours.com/booking_agent.htm

This weeks Question: What year did Brian & Jill Perry start the whale watching industry in Hervey Bay?  Prize is a pair of Hervey Bay Whale Watch Boxer Shorts (or G-string if you prefer),  the winner will be the first to reply with the correct answer. I will put the winner in next weeks report. Winner: Holly, Noosa Tour Centre

My question last week must have had everyone stumped!!! so the prize is still available... following is a little clue to help you out..  the question was What colour is a humpback whales eyes? the Clue.. a song about a girl by Van Morrison.  Winner: Tanya, Sandy Beach Resort Noosaville

Please note that there will be not be trip on Wednesday as Quick Cat 2 is fully booked but we will be running on Thursday. We still have a couple of seats available for tomorrows Whale Watching Tour.

Wishing You a Whale of a Week
