The green hills of the Sunshine Coast hinterland hold many treasures
including the legendary Glasshouse Mountains, the rainforest at Mary
Cairncross park, the quaint country towns of Maleny, Montville and
Mapleton.
Join
us for a taste of the Sunshine Coast hinterland as we wind our
way up the Blackall range with it's magnificent views back to the
coastline to visit the beautiful Mary Caincross Park to see these
majestic volcanic outcrops before visiting the quaint country town of
Maleny (45min-1 hour) a typical dairy country town with a twist of artistic
and hippy influence then on our way to Montville we visit the
boutique Maleny Cheese Factory to sample hand crafted cheese &
yogurts.
Explore the
village of Montville (1½ hours) with its diverse range
of galleries, curio shops and grab some lunch (own expense) from the
bakery or one of the great cafes.
We
then drive alone the top of the Ridgeway past Flaxton to Mapleton where
you can finish the day with a drink at the Mapleton Tavern with great
views over to the coast or visit the nearby Mapleton Falls.
